Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This app, “KidooTech” (the “App”), is provided by SJ SOFT TECH (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you have any question about this policy or your child's privacy, contact us at kidootechstudio@gmail.com.

2. The short version

• No cloud account — a parent creates a simple profile that is stored only on your device (the password is never stored anywhere).
• We do not ask your child for their real name, address, phone number, email, or photo.
• Your child's nickname and all progress (coins, stars, streaks, stories read, games played, drawings, screen-time) are stored only on your device. We do not receive or store them.
• Ads are served by Google AdMob and are configured as child-directed and non-personalised.
• The Buddy Chat (friendly characters) works fully offline — nothing your child types or taps is ever sent anywhere. See section 5.
• Uninstalling the App deletes the on-device data.

3. Information stored on your device

To make the App work and remember your child's progress, we save the following locally on the device (using the device's own secure app storage). This information is not transmitted to us and we cannot see it:

• A nickname you or your child chooses (this can be any name — it need not be a real name).
• Progress and activity: coins, stars, streaks, stories read, games played, daily missions, and total screen-time.
• Drawings your child creates, if saved.
• The parent's name and email address, entered when setting up the parent profile (the password is never stored anywhere).
• The parent PIN and your chosen settings (time limits, which features are on).

If you uninstall the App or clear its storage, this information is permanently removed from the device.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Because the App is directed to children, we configure every ad request as:

• Child-directed and tagged for users under the age of consent;
• Non-personalised — ads are not based on a profile of your child's interests or behaviour;
• Rated “G” (suitable for general/child audiences).

To serve a non-personalised ad and to prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical data such as a device's IP address and general device information. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own policies. You can read how Google uses information here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Prefer no ads at all? A one-time in-app purchase removes advertising.

5. Buddy Chat (fully offline)

KidooTech includes friendly characters — the “Buddies” — your child can chat with by tapping fun prompt bubbles. This feature runs entirely on the device:

• Every reply comes from a fixed, kid-safe library built into the app. There is no artificial intelligence and no internet connection involved.
• Nothing your child types or taps is ever sent anywhere — not to us, and not to any other company. It never leaves the phone.
• The chat history exists only on the device for the current session and is not stored on any server.

6. Permissions the App may request

• Internet access — used only to show ads. The rest of the app, including Buddy Chat, works offline.
• Device storage — to save your child's drawings and progress on the device.

The App locks to portrait orientation and does not request your location, contacts, or microphone.

7. We do not knowingly collect personal information

Consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families Policy, the EU GDPR/“GDPR-K”, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not build advertising profiles of children, and we do not sell any data. If you have any concern about your child's privacy, contact us at kidootechstudio@gmail.com.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers strictly needed to run the features above:

• Google AdMob — to display child-directed, non-personalised ads. This is the only third-party service the App uses.

9. Data retention & deletion

Because your child's profile and progress are stored on the device, you are in control: you can reset progress in the App's parent area, clear the App's storage in your device settings, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.

10. Parents' choices and rights

• Set a parent PIN to protect settings and the parent area.
• Set daily time limits and turn individual features on or off.
• Review activity (time spent, games played, stories read, chats) in the parent tab.
• Contact us to ask a question or raise a concern at any time.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected in an App update.
